WEST OF SCOTLAND INTER COUNTY LEAGUES - Ayrshire youths maintain title hopes but A team suffer second defeat

The Ayrshire youths team maintained their title hopes in week four of the West of Scotland Inter County Leagues on Sunday the 6th of October with a win over Stirlingshire Youths at Troon Portland, while the Ayrshire A team suffered a second successive defeat, going down to the league leaders Stirlingshire at Falkirk GC.

The Ayrshire youths team maintained their unbeaten record with a 6-2 win in their latest match.

With one round of fixtures to play, sheduled for Sunday the 13th of October, leaders Stirlingshire travel to play Glasgow at Cawder, hoping to secure their first A league title since 1995, while Lanarkshire travel to face Ayrshire at Ayr Seafield in the hope that a win would give them a chance of succesfully defending the title they won in 2023. The other fixture scheduled in week 5 sees Renfrewshire host Dumbartonshire at Cochrane Castle GC.
