WEST OF SCOTLAND INTER COUNTY LEAGUES - Week 1 roundup

The 2023 West of Scotland Inter County A and Youth Leagues began on Sunday the 17th of September with the first round of matches in the five week series.

In the A TEAM LEAGUE, Renfrewshire had a 6-2 away win against Dumbartonshire at Balmore GC while Stirlingshire had a 5-3 home win over Glasgow at Falkirk GC and Lanarkshire and Ayrshire shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw at Colville Park GC.

In the YOUTHS LEAGUE, Glasgow had a 4.5 - 3.5 home win at Cowglen GC against Stirlingshire while Lanarkshire had an away win at Loudoun GC by the same score against Ayrshire. Dumbartonshire were unable to field a team in their scheduled fixture against Renfrewshire at Fereneze GC, with a nominal 5-3 win for Renfrewshire being recorded against the fixture as per the competition rules.
