The individual behind the organisation, former Scottish Golf Union President David Moir, writes:-
I am seeking to re-establish as many of the Ayrshire Golf Association's clubs as possible in MyGolfRanking.net (MGR). MGR is a free service to all competitive handicap golfers and clubs run by my company, in League with Golf Ltd.
The registration requirement was caused by the necessary adherence to GDPR which was initially a grey area for most clubs and MGR, and the uncertainty resulted in our taking a “better safe than sorry” stance and a resultant de-registration of many clubs from our system.
Fortunately these grey areas are no longer grey and our worries are now allayed, but, unfortunately for MGR, many Scottish golf clubs remain unregistered.
Details have been forwarded by the Area Secretary to the Secretaries of all member clubs, outlining how to register for MyGolfRanking.com for the forthcoming season if desired.
