Barassie’s Jack McDonald helped Scotland’s male amateurs enjoyed success in
both the individual and team competition at this week’s African Amateur
Stroke Play Championship, played from 10th to 13th
February at Leopard Creek Golf Estate in Mpumalanga.
South
African Albert Venter took the title on 274, but six of the Scots in the field
finished inside the top 12.
Jamie
Savage finished five strokes back in second place, while Craig Ross (Kirkhill)
and Jack McDonald finished tied for third place.
