HOME INTERNATIONALS - Scotland defeat Ireland but England take title.

England made it three wins from three to take the Raymond Trophy and Home International title at Hillside Golf Club on Friday, beating Wales by 10.5 - 4.5 in their final match.

Scotland finished in second place, doing all they could to push England all the way by beating the 2008 champions Ireland comprehensively in thier final match, by 12 - 3.

In the morning foursomes Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) again paired up with Wallace Booth and recorded a third successive foursomes win, beating Alan Dunbar & Paul Cutler by one hole.

Ayrshire's other representative, Steven McEwan (Caprington), and his partner Glenn Campbell halved their match against Connor Doran & Robert Cannon to contribute towards Scotland's 4 - 1 morning lead.

In the afternoon singles, Stewart lost by one hole to Dara Lernihan whilst McEwan had a 2 & 1 win over Paul O'Kane.
