AYRSHIRE BOYS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Caprington to host 2006 event

The 2006 Ayrshire Boys Team Championship will be held on Sunday 16th April at Caprington. This will be the first occasion since the championship began in 1988 that the Kilmarnock course has been the venue for the event.

Matt Lygate Trophy holders, Kilmarnock (Barassie), will bid to become the Ayrshire Boys Team Champions for a third successive year, whilst Ballochmyle will attempt to defend the Andrew D. Nimmo Trophy and the title of handicap team champions, secured at their own course in 2005.

The Prestwick Circuits Trophy (holder Robert McKnight, Kilmarnock Barassie) and the Carrick Trophy (holder David Robertson, Ballochmyle) for the best individual scratch and nett scores respectively, will also be contested during the championship.

Entry forms for the 2006 championship will be forwarded to club Secretaries/Junior Convenors in the near future.
