AYRSHIRE UNDER 18 ELITE SQUAD - Pre season coaching sessions get under way

The pre season coaching sessions for the boys and girls in the Ayrshire Under 18 elite squad got under way on Sunday the 18th of February with the first of two gym/fitness sessions with Coach Milligan at BaseLine Gym, Drybridge.

A good turnout of 17 squad members attended the first session on Sunday.

A further gym session is scheduled followed by several weeks of on course work at Prestwick GC with county coaches David Fleming and Richard Gordon.

In addition some golf specific sessions at the Mind Body Golf studion in Troon are planned before the start of the season, to give the squad members a good grounding for the 2026 schedule.

Work will also begin soon to identify players for inclusion in the Ayrshire development squad, with coaching sessions under the direction of coaching professionals Allan Todd and Lee Hughes to follow.

Well done to all those who attended the opening session.
