THE AYRSHIRE JUG - Two ties to be played before quarter final line up is confirmed

Two ties remain to be completed in the second round of the Ayrshire Golf Association mixed greensomes knockout competition, for The Ayrshire Jug, before the quarter final line up is confirmed.

In recently played matches William Fleming & Joan McMurdo (Ballochmyle) had a 2 hole win against their visitors Irene & David Hodge (Largs), and will be at home to Alistair & Jane Belford (Prestwick St Nicholas) in the quarter finals  after the St Nicholas pair had a 2&1 win on their visit to play Cameron & Elizabeth Hosie (Kilmarnock Barassie) in the second round.

In the quarter finals Neil & Sheila Kennedy (Louodun) will host the title holders Iain & Shirley Campbell (Prestwick St Cuthbert) after both couples had home wins in the ir second round ties, by 2&1 and 3&2,  against Bob & Pauleen Cameron (Ayr Bellesile/Belleisle Ladies) and Alyssa Gillies & Andrew Orr (Ballochmyle/Loudoun) respectively.

In the other match played recently George & Grace Meikle (Kilmarnock Barassie) had a 6&5 home win over Scott Singleton & Shirley Ann Stevens (Irvine Ravenspark/Irvine) to set up a home tie in the quarter finals.

The remaining two second round ties are due to be completed by the 22nd of June.
