AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Present positions in chase for final places

The Ayrshire Junior Golf league qualifying sections are rapidly progressing towards a conclusion, with several fixtures being completed recently.

In SECTION A, Irvine remain in front following a 4-2 away win over Troon Welbeck. East Ayrshire had mixed fortunes recently, beating Troon Welbeck by 3.5-2.5 at home but losing to Turnberry away by 5-1. Troon Welbeck maintained their hopes with a 4-2 home win over Turnberry.

With just under half of the 20 fixtures completed, present positions in Section A are:-

In SECTION B, West Kilbride completed their fixtures with a 6-0 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert and a 3-3 draw at home to Kilmarnock Barassie, while Ayr Belleisle maintained their hopes with a 4-2 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert.

With just three fixtures remaining to be completed in the section, Ayr Belleisle need wins at home to Kilmarnock Barassie and away to Prestwick St Cuthbert to maintain their hopes for a place in the final while Kilmarnock Barassie only need a win from their final two matches, at home to Prestwick St Cuthbert and away to Ayr Belleisle, to ensure their place in the final.
