SCOTTISH SENIOR MEN'S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - Paul Moultrie leads Ayrshire challenge after round two at Montrose

England's Rupert Kellock leads the Scottish Senior Men's Open Championship at Montrose going into the final round after the second round was completed on Thursday the 19th of June.

Rounds of 66 and 69 gave Kellock a two round total of 135, 7 under par.

John Lawrie (Glasgow) remains the leading Scot in joint second place on five under par with rounds of 67 and 70 for his 137 total.

Paul Moultrie (Royal Troon) leads the Ayrshire challenge in joint 15th place after two rounds, his one over par total of 143 comprising of rounds of 72 andf 71.

Robert Jenkins lies two shots further back on 145, 3 over par, after following his opening round of 70 with a second round of 75, while Jim Shearer (West Kilbridee) also made the cut for the final round on 146, 4 over par, after rounds of 72 and 74.

The cut for the final round fell at 148, six over par.

The Ayrshire players qwho missed the cut for the final round were:-

159 (+17) Jim McCullagh (Kilmarnock Barassie) 80 - 79
159 (+17) Andrew Lindsay (Ayr Dalmilling) 78 - 81
161 (+19) John McKean (Prestwick) 83 - 78
