AYRSHIRE WOMEN'S HANDICAP LEAGUE - Prestwick St Cuthbert and Loudoun lead the chase for the semi finals

The chase for a place in the semi finals of the 2025 Ayrshire Women’s handicap League Championship continues, with several fixtures being completed in both qualifying sections in recent weeks.

In SECTION A, Prestwick St Cuthbert moved clear at the top of the section following 3-1 wins at home to Kilmarnock Barassie and away to Troon Welbeck and a 2-2 draw at home to Troon Welbeck recently. Caprington maintained their qualification hopes with a 3-1 home win over Kilmarnock Barassie.

With four of the twelve qualifying section fixtures remaining to be played, present positions in Section A are:-

In SECTION B, Loudoun lead the way following a 3-1 home win over Largs and a 2-2 draw at home to Ayr Belleisle Ladies. In the other fixture played recently, Ballochmyle recorded their first win of the season with a 3.5-0.5 win away to Ayr Belleisle Ladies.

The winners and runners up in each section will progress to a single fixture semi final match, with the winners meeting in the championship final at Troon Portland during Finals day at the end of August.
