AYRSHIRE MEN'S CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY - Young and Chesney book quarter final places

Darren Young (Crosshouse) and Gavin Chesney (Kilbirnie Place) have booked the first two quarter final spots in the 2025 Ayrshire men's Champion of Champions Trophy competition.

playing at home in the third round against Andrew Duncan (Rowallan Castle), Darren Young recorded a 4&3 win to set up a visit to play either Fraser Innes (Largs) or Harvey Broadfoot (Royal Troon) in the quarter finals.

Gavin Chesney, the 2024 Ayrshire Strokeplay Champion, visited Gary Burgess (Troon Welbeck) in their second round tie and recorded a 6&4 away win to progress to the last eight, where he will face a trip to play either Brian Murray (Redburn) or Patrick Smiley (Prestwick St Nicholas)

The remaining third round ties are due to be completed by the 29th of June.
