AYRSHIRE ORDER OF MERIT - latest positions

Three more counting events in the 2019 Ayrshire Order of Merit, for the Doc Thom Salver, were contested on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May, when the Stevenson Trophy was held at  Girvan and the West Of Scotland Strokeplay took place at East Kilbride on the same day as the West Kilbride Mens Open.

No Ayrshire players gained any Order of Merit points at a wet and windy East Kilbride with Scott Brown (Prestwick St Cuthbert) being the highest placed Ayrshire player when he finished in eighth spot.

Brown however boosted his title hopes the day before, and moved into third place in the table, by taking maximum points at the Stevenson Trophy at Girvan with a scratch core of 64, one ahead of Steven Stamper (Turnberry).

At the West Kilbride Mens Open it was Stewart Russell (Royal Troon) who led the way with a scratch score of 74, two shots ahead of a group of four players including host club members George Higgins and Graham McKenzie and Blair Morton (Royal Troon).
