Ties in the four qualifying sections of the 2019 Ayrshire
handicap League Championship competition are progressing, with several matches
in each of the four sections being played recently.
In SECTION A, Ballochmyle maintain their place at the top of
the table following home wins by 5 – 1 and 4 – 2 against Prestwick St Cuthbert
and Ayr Belleisle respectively.
Auchinharvie 88 remain in second place with Ayr Dalmilling
moving up to third following a 5 – 1 home win over Ayr Belleisle and a 4 – 2 win
away to Alton, just ahead of Rowallan Castle who recorded a 3.5 – 2.5 at home
to Alton in their last fixture.

In SECTION B, Kilbirnie edged ahead at the top of the table
with a 3 – 3 draw away to Stewarton, whist Ayr Seafield moved into third place
following a 5.5 – 0.5 win at home to Royal Troon.

In SECTION C, a 5 – 1 win away to Troon St Meddans kept
Kilmarnock (Barassie) at the top of the table with a 100% record.
Troon Merchants made it two wins from two with a 4.5 – 1.5 victory
against their visitors from Irvine Ravenspark, whilst Annanhill consolidated third
place with a 4.5 – 1.5 home win over Troon Welbeck.

In SECTION D, A 4 – 2
home win over Loudoun kept Redburn at the top of the section, although their progress
was stalled with a 4 – 2 defeat away to Troon Portland.
Troon Portland added another home win with a 4.5 – 1.5
result against Beith whilst the other match played recently saw Loudoun share
the spoils with their visitors from Beith in a 3 – 3 draw.
