In a surprise development, Troon Welbeck have withdrawn from
the 2019 Ayrshire Scratch League competition, due to major issues with player
availability encountered during their opening fixtures.
Having played one match and conceded another, a second
fixture where the club could not muster a team to play resulted in their
withdrawal from the Division 2 competition.
Consequently, all previous results this season in the competition
involving Troon Welbeck have been cancelled and the league table revised
accordingly.
Play in all four leagues are progressing well, with a number
of results posted in recent days.
In DIVISION 1, Prestwick St Cuthbert maintained their second
spot with a 3 – 3 draw away to Kilmarnock (Barassie) who bounced back from a
heavy 5 – 1 home defeat to Irvine to record a 4 – 2 win away to Troon Portland,
in the other matches played recently.

In DIVISION 2, Ballochmyle made it two wins from two with a
4 – 2 home result against Irvine Ravenspark and maintain second spot behind Largs,
who edged ahead with a 3 – 3 draw at Irvine Ravenspark in their latest fixture.
In the other fixture completed recently, Ayr Belleisle recorded a narrow 3.5 –
2.5 home win over Caprington.

on track with a 4.5 – 1.5 win at Rowallan Castle, whilst West Kilbride opened their
2019 campaign with a 4 – 2 win away to Girvan.
