SCOTTISH JUNIOR TOUR - Scott Newman leads good Ayrshire showing at Portpatrick

Ayrshire Boy's Champion Scott Newman shared top spot in the weather shortened Scottish Junior Tour event at Portpatrick Golf Club on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of April 2025, as Ayrshire players performed well in the boys event. 

The boy's championship was shortened to two rounds as fog forced the postponement of one round, and with figures of 71 and 67 for a total of 138 Scott, who is a member of West Kilbride and Gourock golf clubs, shared top spot with Jamie henshaw of Bruntsfield Links.

Finlay Watt (West Kilbride) finished in eighth place with a total of 144 after rounds of 73 and 71, while Drew Cleaver (Ayr Belleisle was one shot further back after rounds of 75 and 70.

Jamie Hay (Ayr Belleisle) also had a top 11 finish on 146 with rounds of 74 and 72
