SCOTTISH MEN'S AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP - Honours even at Irvine

Ayrshire and Perth & Kinross shared the spoils in a 4.5 - 4.5 draw in the first of this season's Scottish Men's Area Team Championship qualifying matches, played at Irvine Golf Club on Sunday the 4th of May.

The two teams produced some excellent golf in a tight match where both deserved a share of the honours.

Ayrshire won the morning foursomes 2-1 but the visitors took the afteernoon singles 3.5-2.5 to tie the match overall.

In the other match in the section Glasgow Beat Lothians by 5.5-3.5 at Glasgow Golf Club's Killermont course.
