In the first round of the Under 16 Knockout Trophy Irvine had a 4-0 home win over Prestwick St Cuthbert to set up a home tie against Ayr Belleisle in round two.
In the first of the second round ties played in the competition, West Kilbride drew 2-2 with their visitors from Troon Welbeck but with tie wins by 5&4 and 4&3 against scores of 2&1 and 3&1 it was the Troon Welbeck team that progressed to the semi finals by virtue of the countback.
In the scratch team knockout competition for The Wallace Thornton Trophy, West Kilbride booked their place in the semi finals with a 3.5-0.5 win on their visit to play Prestwick St Nicholas.
In the Junior Champion of Champions Trophy competition Euan Forrest (Turnberry) had a 7&6 victory away to Connor Molloy (Annanhill) in their first round fixture and will now be at home in the second round against either the Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion Scott Newman or Ayrshire Boys matchplay Champion Quintin Dunlop.
