In the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, qualifying SECTION A, Irvine lead the way at the early stages from Troon Welbeck after Troon Welbeck opened with a 3.5 – 2.5 home win over East Ayrshire at Troon Lochgreen but then lost their second home fixture by 4.5 – 1.5 to Irvine.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY, Turnberry won their first
round tie away to East Ayrshire by 4 – 0 but lost out by the same score away to
Kilmarnock Barassie in the second round. With Troon Welbeck and Kilmarnock
Baraassie through to the semi finals, the remaining two second round ties,
between Prestwick St Nicholas & Annanhill, and Irvine & Ayr Belleisle,
are due to be completed by the 1st of June.
In the scratch team WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY, Turnberry beat
East Ayrshire by 3.5 – 0.5 at Turnberry and Irvine had a 4 – 0 home win over
Ayr Belleisle, to join West Kilbride in the semi finals.
The remaining second round tie between Kilmarnock Barassie
and Troon Welbeck is due to be completed by the 1st of June.
In the JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY competition,
Ayrshire Boys Strokeplay Champion Scott Newman lost his home first round tie to
Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Champion Quintin Dunlop by 2&1.
The result of the first rounds tie between Liam Moran
(Irvine) and the Kilmarnock Barassie representative , due to be completed by
the 11th of May, has still to be confirmed, while the four second
round ties, which are due to be completed by the 1st of June,are:-
