THE AYRSHIRE JUG - Several more through to round three in mixed greensomes competition

Several more pairings are through to round three of the 2025 mixed greensomes knockout competition, for The Ayrshire Jug, with remaining second round ties due to be completed by the 26th of May.

Kevin Hamilton & Karen Miller (Rowallan Castle) beat their visitors Susan Smith & Roddie Middleton (Loudoun) by 2&1 and will now host Alison Malcolm & Andrew Gordon (Ayr Belleisle Ladies/Ayr Belleisle) who received a walkover from Stuart & Sandra Dunlop (Kilmarnock Barassie).

David & Jean Hadden (Kilmarnock Barassie) won by 2 holes on their visit to play Gordon & Eileen Munro (Loudoun) and will now host Carol Moffat & Jimmy McGhee (Caprington/Loudoun) who won their home second round tie against Graham & Alyson Hutton (Skelmorlie) by 2&1.

William Fleming & Joan McMurdo (Ballochmyle) beat their second round visitors Douglas Gillespie & Angela Hughes (West Kiklbride/Irvine) by 3&1 to set up a home tie in round three against Irene & David Hodge (Largs) who progressed courtesy of a walkover from Debbie Watt & Michael Malone (Ayr Belleisle Ladies/Golf South Ayrshire).

Bob & Pauleen Cameron (Ayr Belleisle/Ayr Belleisle Ladies) progressed to an away tie in round three courtesy of a home win over Scott Gilchrist & Sally Hamilton (Loudoun) at the second extra hole of their second round tie.

George & Grace Meikle (Kilmarnock Barassie) received a walkover from Brian Fulton & Jean Capes (Largs), and will face a trip in round three to play Scott Singleton & Shirley Ann Stevens (Irvine Ravennspark /Irvine).

The other pair through to an away tie in round three so far are Catherine & Alasdair Malcolm  (Ayr Brelleisle Ladies/Golf South Ayrshire) who had a 6&5 win at Ayr Belleisle in round two over Jean Philips & Thomas Woods (Ballochmyle).

Four first round ties remain to be completed by the 26th of May.
