Despite several of the senior players from last seasons winning squad moving up to senior level this year, the 2025 Ayrshire squad still fielded a strong team at the match, with several new players moving into contention for places this year.
The Under 16 group laid the foundation of victory with three wins and a half match from their four ties, Alex Horton and Ryan Steven having comprehensive victories in their ties, with Mason Chisholm adding another point and Ollie Kane adding another half point.
The under 18 group added a further 2.5 points, with victories from Finlay Watt and Liam Moran, with a half point from Lyle Vogwell, while Quintin Dunlop was unfortunate to lose two holes late in the match to lose out on the penultimate green, giving Ayrshire a 6 - 2 win overall in a testing away fixture.
