GREENLEES TROPHY - Latest from local clubs

Local clubs are still fairing well in Divisions 1 & 2 of the West Of Scotland Inter Club Leagues for the Greenlees Trophy, despite some poor results recently.

In Division 1, Troon had a 7 - 2 home win over Ranfurly Ccastle but the other two Ayrshire clubs in the division did not fare so well in their recent matches away from home, West Kilbride losing 8 - 1 at cathkin Braes and Kilmarnock (Barassie) losing 7.7 - 1.5 at Milngavie.

The three local clubs are still comfortably mid table in the division. Presnt positions are :-

In Division 2, the only Ayrshire club involved, Prestwick St. Nicholas, had a good 5.5 - 3.5 win away from home on their latest outing at Bothwell Castle. Although sitting third from the foot of the table in the division, the St. Nicholas ladies have still four of their scheduled eight fixtures to complete, as have one other club, with all others having played more.
