In the Scottish Boys Championship Ayrshire's last remaiing representative Finlay Watt (West Kilbride) bowed out in the quarter finals.
Having beaten Oliver Robertson (Deeside) by 6&4 on Saturday morning to reach the quarter finals, his afternoon match against Daniel Noble (Banchory) was suspended after two holes due to the threat of lightning, and recommenced three hours later. In a tie that swung in favour of both playewrs, Finlay eventually bowed out to a 2&1 defeat in his bid for a semi final spot.
In the Scottish Girls Championship Sophie Jordan (Kilmarnock Barassie) lost out in the finrst round of the second flight matchplay competition, defeated 2&1 by Rita Murphy (Murrayfield)
Orla Moran (Irvine) lost to Kaci Robertson (Nairn Dunbar) by 5&3 in the first round of the Championship matchplay series on Saturday morning, while Jodie Graham (Royal Troon) beat Megan Fallon (Broomieknowe) by 3&2 and Hannah Ounap (Loudoun) beat Summer Xie (Swanston) by 4&3 to secure thier places in the quarter finals in the afternoon.
Jodie Graham's hopes ended on Saturday afternoon with a single hole defeat by Stella Walters (Craigielaw) but Hannah Ounap progressed to the last four on Sunday morning with a 5&4 win over Renne Carroll (Bruntsfield Links) in their quarter final tie.
In the semi finals on Sunday morning Hannah Ounap plays Carly McDonald (St Regulus)
The semi finals and final of both competitions are due to be completed on Sunday the 20th of July.
