AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Competitions close in on final line ups.

The various Ayrshire Junior Golf league competitions are rapidly heading towards a conclusion, with the final line ups becoming clearer.

In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, Irvine secured their place in the final, where they will face Kilmarnock Barassie, after a 5.5-0.5 home win over Prestwick St Nicholas in their final qualifying section A fixture ensured they would finish on the top of the section.

The final is scheduled to take place at ballochmyle GC on Sunday the 31st of August.

In the UNDER 16 KNOCKOUT TROPHY competition, the final at Ballochmyle on Sunday the 3rd of August will also be contested by Irvine and Kilmarnock Barassie, following Kilmarnock barassie's 3-1 home win over Troon Welbeck in the semi finals.

The final of the scratch team knockout competition for the WALLACE THORNTON TROPHY, which takes place on Sunday the 3rd of August at ballochmyle, will be between Turnberry and West Kilbride.

In the semi finals Turnberry recorded a 3.5 - 0.5 win away to Troon Welbeck while West Kilbride had a 2.5 - 1.5 home win over Irvine.

In the AYRSHIRE JUNIOR CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS TROPHY Euan Forrest (Turnberry) booked his place in the final with a 5&4 win on his visit to play Finlay Watt (West Kilbride) in their semi final tie. 

Euan now awaits the winner of the tie between the Moran siblings, Liam and Orla, to see who he will face in the final, which is scheduled to take place at ballochmyle on Sunday the 31st of August.
