AYRSHIRE JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE - Final spot from League Section A still to be decided.

With League Section B completed and Kilmarnock Barassie qualifying for the Ayrshire Junior Golf League Championship final, the other place in the final is still up for grabs as League Section A moves towards a conclusion.

Prestwick St Nicholas have played the fewest matches so far this season and while their final hopes took a blow with a 4-2 home defeat by Troon Welbeck, a concession of the return match at Troon due to player unavailability by Troon Welbeck leaves Prestwick St Nicholas still with slim hopes of reaching the final.

In the other fixture played recently, the two leading teams in the table, Irvine and Turnberry fought out a nailbiting 3-3 draw at Turnberry.

Prestwick St Nicholas have still to visit both Turnberry and Irvine and and have to play East Ayrshire both home and away, and would need to win all four fixtures to secure a place in the final, however a win for Irvine in their final fixture at home to St Nicholas would ensure their progress, though if they slip up Turnberry could still win through to the final with a win by a sufficient margin at home to St Nicholas.

With just the four fixtures remaining, present positions in League Section A are:-
