The final of the 2011 Ayrshire Matchplay Championship on Thursday 5th May at Troon Portland will be between Gary Bryden of Girvan and Michael Smyth of Royal Troon.
In Wednesday's Semi final, Gary Bryden - pictured right - had a very close match against Stephen Murray (Troon Welbeck) which finished on the final green with Bryden edging into the final by the narrowest of margins.The other semi final between Michael Smyth - pictured left - and Marc Smith (Troon Welbeck) was equally close, also finishing on the final green with a one hole victory for Smyth.
The final on Thursday evening tees of at 5.00 p.m.
