Ayrshire County President David Miller was the last Ayrshire hope in the Scottish Seniors Matchplay Championship, being played at Monifieth Links this week, before bowing out in the quarter finals on Thursday afternoon.In the last 16, David Miller beat clubmate Ian Stewart by one hole to set up a quarter final match against 2005 winner Gordon McDonald (Callendar), but went down by 2 & 1 in the afternoon in his bid for a semi final place.
The semi finals on Friday morning are :-
Scott McDonald (Dunfermline) Vs. Ian Brotherston (Dumfries & County)
Gordon McDonald (Callendar) Vs. Fraser McCluskey (Royal Burgess)
