SCOTTISH SENIORS MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP - Kilmarnock Barassie pair carry Ayrshire hopes

The Kilmarnock (Barassie) duo of David Miller and Ian Stewart carry Ayrshire hopes in the Scottish Seniors matchplay Championship, being played this week at Monifieth Links, as the only two players from the county amongst the 32 qualifiers.
 
With David Gardiner (Broomieknowe) in top qualifying place on 138, David Miller qualified comfortably on 149 whilst Ian Stewart secured his place with two shots to spare on 154.
 
In the first round of matchplay on Wednesday, David Miller faces J T Johnston (Northumberland) whilst Ian Stewart plays B Stewart (Tulliallan).
