Jack McDonald's bid for a second Scottish Boys Strokeplay Championship title faded in the closing two rounds at nairn Dunbar on Thursday 21st July, as Joshua Jamieson (St Andrews New) won the title.
Joint leader with Jamieson at the halfway stage, the Kilmarnock (Barassie) player faded to a three over par 75 in the third round and closed with a two over par 74 for a two over par total of 290 to finish in joint seventh place.
McDonald's clubmate Callum Gorrie finished one shot further back on 291 whilst the other two Ayrshire players who made the cut, Charlie MacNeal and David Wilson of Troon welbeck, finished on 297 and 299 respectively.
