Heather Anderson (Blairgowrie) thwarted the bid by Alex Glennie (Kilmarnock Barassie) to land the senior woman's "double" at Portpatrick this week when she defeated the Ayrshire County Captain by 5 & 4 in the semi finals on Friday morning.
Noreen Fenton (Dunbar) beat Janice Paterson (Drumpellier) by one hole in the semi final before repeating the score in the final against Anderson to take the matchplay crown.
In the final of the inaugural Handicap Championship, Caroline King (Clober) was well under her handicap in beating Margot Barr (Gairloch) by 6&5
