The closing date for entries to the 2011 Ayrshire Boys Golf Championship is fast approaching.The championship will be held this year at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club on Thursday 4th August and the closing date for entries is
WEDNESDAY 13TH JULY.
The championship is open to junior boys under the age of 18 on 1st January 2011 with a handicap of 12 or less, with prizes being awarded in both scratch and handicap sections, over the 36 hole competition.
The entry fee for the event is £10.
Entry forms should be available through club secretaries or junior convenors, and can also be downloaded direct from this webpage via the appropriate link under the 'Juniors Info' heading.
The players returning the best 8 scratch totals in the championship will go forward to contest the Ayrshire Boys matchplay Championship at Prestwick Golf Club from 9th to 11th August.
In addition, the 2011 champion will gain entry to the 2012 Ayrshire Junior Champion Of Champions competition.
The first round of this years championship will also be a qualifying event for the Abu Dhabi Junior GOlf Championship. Run in association with the Telegraph newspaper, the player returning the best scratch score will receive a prize and may progress to the next stage and ultimately have the chance to qualify for the event final at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, UAE.
All prospective entrants are encouraged to submit their entries for the championship to the Association Secretary as soon as possible.
