The Ayrshire team struggled at Dunbar on Wednesday 17 September 2014 as the
Stirlingshire Team of Gordon MacDonald (Glenbervie), Robert Craw (Glenbervie), Kevin
Brunton (Stirling), Lindsay Blair (Grangemouth), Jalil Aman (Grangemouth) and
David Smith (Stirling) won the Inter Area Team Championship.
Stirlingshire won by 5 shots over last years winners Glasgow, with Lothians in third place by virtue of a
better sixth score than Argyll and Bute.
The Stirlingshire's scores were very
consistent with all within the 73 to 75 range. The best individual score of the
day came from Gordon Tyre (Argyll & Bute) and David Shields (Perth &
Kinross) both with 72.
