Scotland finished the 2011 Home Internationals with a victory over host nation Ireland on Friday, as England won the title with a win against Wales.
beaten on day two by England, the Scots faced an unbeaten Ireland side on the closing day but raced to a 4.5 - 0.5 lead after the morning foursomes.
Ayrshire golfer Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) again teamed up with Ross Kellett and secured a 3&2 victory over E. Arthurs and R. O'Donovan in the foursomes.
In the afternoon singles, Stewart had a 2 & 1 win over E. McCormack as Scotland ran out winners in the match by 8.5 - 6.5.
England defeated Wales by 9.5 - 5.5 to retain the Home Internationals title.
