Johnny O'Neill and Garry Ross (North Beach), runners up in the championship in 2010, were defeated in the quarter finals of the 2011 Ayrshire Fourball Championship this week, as the semi final line up was completed.The North Beach pair played host to Barry O'Rourke and Robert nairn (Kilbirnie Place) in the quarter finals but it was the visitors who booked their place in the last four with a one hole victory.
The semi finals, which are due to be completed by 28th August, are :-
KEVIN McCORMICK & ROBERT PAYNE (Ardeer)

IAIN & DAVID MACDONALD (Largs)
JIM MITCHELL & IAN FISHER (Ballochmyle)
