AYRSHIRE SUMMER LEAGUE - latest league positions

All five of the leagues in the 2011 Ayrshire Summer (Scratch) League are now under way, with a number of results being notified in recent days.

In LEAGUE DIVISION 1, Loudoun have opened with a couple of home wins, by 3.5 - 2.5 over Ayr Belleisle and  5 - 1 over Troon Welbeck, whilst defending champions Kilmarnock (Barassie) extended their unbeaten run of games this year to three, with a 3.5 - 2.5 home win over Troon Welbeck.

In the other match played recently, Irvine had a second successive 5-1 win over near neighbours Irvine Ravenspark, winning their home match after their earlier victory away from home.

Present positions in Division 1 are :-

In LEAGUE DIVISION 2, West Kilbride have opened with successive 4 - 2 home wins over Ballochmyle and Caprington, Whilst ballochmyle bounced back from their defeat with a 5 - 1 win at home to Ardeer. In the other match played so far in the league, New Cumnock recorded a 4 - 2 home win over Kilbirnie Place.

In LEAGUE DIVISION 3, the only result forthcoming so far is the 3 - 3 draw between Troon St Meddans ad Prestwick St Cuthbert, whilst in LEAGUE DIVISION 4, only the 5 - 1 home win by Turnberry over Moorpark has been recorded so far.

In LEAGUE DIVISION 5, Girvan made it two wins from two with a 5 - 1 home win over near neighbours Brunston castle whilst Rowallan castle also recorded their second win with a 4 - 2 away win at Brunston Castle.

DOON VALLEY - 1/0
CROSSHOUSE - 1/0
BRUNSTON CASTLE 2/0
