Matches in the four qualifying sections of the 2011 Ayrshire Junior Golf League championship are due to be completed by the end of July, and all four sections are now under way.In SECTION A, Annanhill have opened their bid for a semi final spot with two wins, by 6 - 0 at home to Largs and 4 - 2 away to Troon Welbeck. Troon Welbeck bounced back from their opening match defeat with a 3.5 - 2.5 win at Largs in their second match.

In SECTION B, Irvine (Bogside) are on the way to the semi finals despite defeat by 4 - 2 in their latest match at Prestwick St Nicholas.
After defeating Irvine, St Nicholas went on to defeat Loudoun at home by 5 - 1 but with only an away match at Loudoun remaining, even a 6 - 0 win for the Prestwick club would only leave them on the same points total as Irvine, but withe a worse games difference over all the matches.

In SECTION C, Ayr Belleisle completed a 100% record for the season as they secured their semi final place by some margin, with only one match remaining to be completed in the section.
In their final two matches, both at home, the Ayr Bellesile side beat caprington by 5 - 1 and Irvine Ravenspark by 4.5 - 1.5 to complete a 6 wins from 6 record. After losing 5 - 1 away to irvine Ravesnpark, Caprington gained some revenge in the reverse fixture, beating ravenspark by 4 - 2 in the return at Kilmarnock.

In SECTION D, Prestwick St Cuthbert remain undefeated and lead the way in the section, with their final match of the campaign at Kilmarnock (Barassie) looking likely to go a long way to deciding the destiny of the semi final place.
Held to a 3 - 3 draw by Kilmarnock (Barassie) at home, the St Cuthbert side recoverded with a further 3 - 3 draw away to West Kilbride before being awarded a walkover (scored 4-2) by Ardeer in their recently scheduled away match there.
