David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) - pictured right - is the best placed of the Ayrshire competitors after round 2 of the Scottish Boys Under 16 Championship being played at Auchterarder this week.Wilson lies joint 13th on 145 (+7) after rounds of 73 & 72, which leaves him 8 shots adrift of joint leaders Remo Fueg (Switzerland) and Nick ward (Redbourne) on 137 (- 1).
Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) also made the 36 hole cut, tied in 26th place on 9 over par after rounds of 76 & 71.
The 36 hole cut fell at 1250 (+12) and the remainingg Ayrshire players failed to survive to play the final round.
