Scotland avoided the wooden spoon at the 2011 Seniors Home Internationals, being played at Woodhall Spa this week, with a last day victory over Wales.
David Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) combined with Ian Brotherston (Dumfries & County) for a 3 & 1 win in the morning foursomes. For the third successive day the Scots won the foursomes by 2 - 1.
In the afternoon singles, Scotland took five of the ties and halved the other to run out winners against Wales by 7.5 - 1.5.
In the other match, Ireland defeated England, winning their match by 7 - 2 to take the Home Internationals title for the fourth successive year.
