SCOTTISH WOMEN'S COUNTY FINALS - Ayrshire beat Dumfriesshire in delayed second match

Ayrshire completed a win over Dumfriesshire in their rain delayed match in the Scottish Women's County Finals on Sunday morning at Dumfries & County Golf Club.

After suspension of play on Saturday led to only the foursomes being completed, Ayrshire took a lead of 2.5 - 0.5 into the sunday morning singles matches which they took 4 - 2 for a 6.5 - 2.5 win overall.

The second round of the county matches were completed this morning at a rather soggy Dumfries & County Golf Club. Midlothian held a 3-0 lead and Ayrshire a 2.5-0.5 lead overnight after torrential rain caused the singles to be delayed until today (Sunday 18 September).

Both Midlothian and Ayrshire held on to their leads and won their respective ties 6.5 - 2.5. Details of the individual matches are given below.

The matches between Ayrshire and Perth & Kinross and Dumfriesshire and Midlothian will be contested over six singles matches only this afternoon (Sunday 18 September).
