Kyle Smith (Kilmarnock Barassie), the only Ayrshire player in the field, finished tied for first place in the second of the 2008 SGU Junior Tour events, held at Irvine (Bogside) on Sunday 20th AprilFormer Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Champion Smith, from Kilmarnock Barassie, tied for first place with Paul Shields (Kirkhill) who lost out in the final of The Scottish Boys Championship earlier in the month to Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck).
