Prestwick St. Nicholas won the 2007 - 2008 Ayrshire Winter League with victory over Troon Welbeck in the two leg final recently.The St. Nicholas campaign started off in a group including the holders Troon Portland, along with Caprington & Ayr Dalmilling.
5 points out of 8 took St. Nicholas through to the semi-final against a strong Irvine Ravenspark team.
Two great 4-2 victories, both home and away, took St. Nicholas into the final to face Troon Welbeck.
The final was a very close affair, each side winning their respective home matches by 3.5 - 2.5, with Prestwick St. Nicholas winning the match on a countback by the narrow margin of two holes.
