Jack McCluskey led the Belleisle side by example in the first tie, eastablishing a three hole lead over Greg Telfer at the turn before closing out his opponent on the 15th.
Darryl Lynch and Mark Reid were square at the turn in the second tie but Reid had a run of five successive winning holes to take his tie and square the match at 1 - 1.
The final two ties were very close throughout with the two Ayr belleisle players leading by one hole, through nine, and in both cases the Belleisle players held on for 2 & 1 wins in their respective ties to take the trophy back to Ayr Belleisle

At the presentations following the final, AJGL Chairman John Nordbo congratulated the teams on their considerable efforts to reach the finals and also thanked Largs Golf Club for providing the courtesy of the course, which was in outstanding condition. He also commented on the fairly sizeable contingent of parents and club supporters following their teams.
On Sunday 26th September Largs will once again be the venue for the Junior League final featuring Kilmarnock (Barassie) and Ayr Belleisle and also the Junior Champion of Champions final between Joseph Howie (Ardeer) and Craig Telfer (Prestwick St. Cuthbert) and spectators will be most welcome.
