SCOTTISH BOYS AND YOUTHS CHAMPIONSHIPS - Ayrshire players bid for national titles

A number of Ayrshire players are in the starting line ups for the forthcoming Scottish Boys Strokeplay Championship and Scottish Youths Championship, to be held later this month.

In the Scottish Youths Championship, being played at the Jubilee Course in St Andrews from 14th to 16th July, three local players are bidding for the title.

Former Scottish Boys Champion David Wilson of Troon Welbeck is joined in the field by clubmate Ross McEwan as well as J Johnston from Ayr Belleisle.

In the Scottish Boys Strokeplay Championship at Cruden Bay from 22nd to 24th July, Irvine has two players competing whilst Troon Welbeck and Kilmarnock (Barassie) have one each..

Boys internationalist Stuart Easton is in the field alongside clubmate Jack Thomas whilst Troon Welbeck interest lies with Murray McCrone and Kilmarnock (Barassie) with Blair Gavin.
