Adam Sweeney (Largs Routenburn) has booked his place in the semi final of the 2014 Ayrshire Champion Of Champions Trophy competition.In the centenary year of his home club, Sweeney took one step closer to landing a county title with a 4 & 3 home win over 2013 runner up Craig Hamilton (Ballochmyle) in their quarter final tie.
In the semi finals, to be played at Royal Troon on Friday 8th August, Sweeney will face either Malcolm Pennycott (Whiting Bay) or Kenny Macaskill (Turnberry Staff).
The other semi final features Sandy Walker (Ardeer) against either Gary Bryden (Girvan) or Martin Riddall (New Cumnock).
