The final of the 2012 Ayrshire Matchplay Championship will be contested on Thursday evening at Western Gailes between David Wilson (Troon Welbeck) and Tommy McInally (Loudoun).

In the Wednesday night semi finals, David Wilson defeated Stuart Robin (Prestwick St Nicholas) by 3 & 2 to remain on course to add the matchplay crown to his Strokeplay victory two weeks ago, whilst Tommy McInally overcame the challenge of David Orchiston (Ballochmyle) with a 4 & 3 win to retain his hopes of  adding to his one previous Matchplay Championship win in 2006.


The final is scheduled to begin on Thursday evening at 5.00 p.m., and spectators are welcome.
