Jim Anderson & Paul Church (Skelmorlie) are also at home in round 3, courtesy of a win at Troon St Meddans by 2 & 1 over A. Cherry & E. McFadden, with their opponents in the last 16 being James Graham & Marc Wallace (Doon Valley)
Michael & Steven Holland (Troon Welbeck) won through comfortably by 5 & 4 on their trip to Largs Routenburn to play Jim Thomson & Alex McGill and nopw find themselves with another away tie in round 3, against Robert Marshall & Philip Rooney (Beith).
George & David McCulloch (Brunston Castle) received a walkover against John Frame & Stephen McPike (Drongan) after one of their opponents was forced to withdraw due to injury. The McCulloch's now have a home tie in round 3 against Tom Ainsworth & Gordon Hume (Ardeer) who beat Allan Johnstone & Craig Devlin (Glacier) to progress.
In the other outstanding second round tie, Derek Yates & Tom Boyd (Braehead) won through by 3 & 1 in their local derby against Chalmers Thomson & John Hair (Abbotsford) and now face another local derby in round 3, against Andrew Paton & Charles Bell (Ayr Dalmilling)
