Scotland, with Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) in the team, lost their opening match at the 2009 Boys Home Internationals at Hankley Common, England.
McDonald and his partner Daniel Young, who performed well together in the European Boys Team Championships recently, went down by 6 & 5 in the morning foursomes and the Ayrshire boy fared little better in the afternoon, losing his match by 5 & 4.
