With only one event to play, the Ardeer Boys Open, and the results of the events at Ballochmyle, Belleisle and Kilmarnock (Barassie) still to be recorded, Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) leads the way in the 2009 Ayrshire Junior Order Of Merit.
Despite being restricted in the number of events he was available for due to international committments, McDonald, the reigning Scottish Boys Strokeplay Champion added first places at Annanhill early in the season and Irvine Ravenspark last week to his national success to give him a 200 point lead over his nearest rival, Scott Johnston (Prestwick St. Cuthbert).
Prizes will be awared to the leading players at the Ayrshire Junior Golf League annual dinner at the end of the season.
