AYRSHIRE JUNIOR ORDER OF MERIT Shanks in front as competition nears conclusion

With only a handful of counting competitions remaining, Ayrshire Boys Champion John Shanks (Ardeer) is back in front in the chase for the title. His semi final placein the Matchplay championship allowed Shanks to regain the lead from Euan Brown (Kilmarnock Barassie).

Jamie Mackay also boosted his hopes with points in the Matchplay championship, whilst a win in the Loudoun Boys Open raised Craig McLaughlin (Largs) to fourth place. The performance of Matchplay champion Kyle Smith and runner up David Currie moved the Barassie pair up to 5th & 6th places respectively, whilst Fraser Lawrie (Largs) holds the final place in the prizelist at present.

The results from the Boys Open Competitions at Ardeer and West Kilbride are still to be received from the event organisers, and are not yet included in the totals.
