The Muirkirk pairing of David Muir & Murray Pringle are through to the semi finals of the 2006 Ayrshire Fourball competition.
The Muirkirk side brushed aside the challenge of James Bryce & Ralph Mitchell (Doon Valley) in the quarter finals, a seven hole lead at the turn for the Muirkirk duo leading to a concession of the tie by the Doon Valley pair.
The Muirkirk representatives now face the winners of the Ayr Seafield Vs. Turnberry tie.
The second semi final will feature the winner of the Troon St. Meddans Vs. Ayr Belleisle tie against North Beach.
The final, scheduled for Sunday 24th September, will be played at Kilmarnock (Barassie).
